Dear travelers, be ready to explore Sri Lanka


Sri Lanka is getting ready to welcome travelers from across the world with high standards of safety
guidelines and precautionary measures recommended by global health and travel authorities.

Bandaranaike International Airport [BIA], Colombo Ratmalana Airport [RMA] and Mattala Rajapaksa
Hambantota Airport [MRIA] will be operating for tourist arrivals from 1 st August 2020 & following
measures will be taken for both arrivals and departures.
  • A PCR test would be done on arrival at the airport (No charges will be applied) & Test results will be given within 4 to 6 hours (from August 2020 on wards)                           
  • 2nd test will be done after 4-5 days from arrival.
  • Travelers staying more than 10 days will be required to take a 3rd test.
  • If the PCR result is positive,quarantine in a designated hotel or hospitalization will take place.
  • Pre departure testing-A negative PCR test is required prior to boarding your flight & it should be no older than 72 hours.
When moving around the country,
  • Please arrange transportation prior to your arrival, with a Certified Accommodation provider or travel agent & refrain from using public transport.
  • Safety protocols and measures will be in place at all tourist sites which will be opening from 1st August 2020.
  • There will be no travel restrictions between districts for tourists.
