Ella Rock


Ella Rock is one of the must-sees in Ella located at an altitude of 1,041 meters, a place which is becoming increasingly popular among tourists.

If you are starting form Ella train station, you would enjoy the rail walk, and soon as you started climbing up, you will be passing a waterfall, the rubber tree forest and tea plantations.After a trek of approximately 2 hours, you can climb the mighty top of Ella Rock.(Total time-approx 4 hours up and down).





It will be little bit hard to climb to the top of it & your effort will go to waste since you will be awarded with  panoramic view of the Ella Gap and Little Adam's Peak.



Here are some tips that would be useful to you

  1. Start your journey as early as possible.
  2. Take sun block cream & Insect repellent with you.
  3. Always try to wear waterproof long pants and jackets.
  4. Use a sturdy pair of trekking shoes or boots.
  5. Beware of Leeches.
  6. Be cautious on railway lines.
